Andy van Terheyden, Founder & CEO, vT Tuition | Expert 11 Plus Tutor

Rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, Andy enjoyed a highly-successful career in UK schools as both a teacher and school leader, earning the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL).

Andy now leads vT Tuition’s 11 Plus online programmes for children in Year 3, Year 4, and Year 5, which make Maths, English, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning engaging. He also leads his highly-popular online holiday clubs, including Beat the Teacher! An astounding 96% of pupils who come through Andy’s tuition programmes pass their 11 Plus exams.

Previously, Andy spent 12 years working exclusively in areas of high deprivation, where he helped transform the life chances for thousands of the UK’s most underprivileged children.

Fuelled by a passionate belief that every child deserves a solid foundation in literacy and numeracy, Andy left school leadership to found vT Tuition, whose mission is to make expert 11 Plus tuition accessible to all children, regardless of their family's socio-economic background.

At home, Andy is a long-suffering Arsenal fan, and delighted Lionesses fan, who enjoys spending time with his wife and their miracle IVF daughter.
